Inspired by the tale of the mystical phoenix, LAUVE is the latest DPT collaboration with Belgian producer, actress and model Lauren Versnick. LAUVE - a fusion of 'Lauren' and 'Love' - is meant to inspire and empower all women, especially those whom Lauren carries within her heart. Thus, each jewelry piece is named after an important woman in her life. Women like her grandmother ‘Moenie’, her mom, sister, aunts and dearest friends who have influenced and inspired her to embrace the gift of being with all its highs and lows, its challenges, and triumphs, to become the truest version of herself. An ode to them resulted in a jewelry line that playfully hints at the wings and claws of a phoenix, with beautiful details of red garnet gemstones and – you guessed it - diamonds.
WE ARE FAMILY.
The Moenie ring was named after Lauren’s grandmother. There was no doubt that her beloved 'Moenie' would be part of the jewelry line. She and Lauren designed the ring together in the hospital, just before she passed away. With the striking ring, featuring a red garnet stone, she hopes to encourage those who wear it, to spread their wings and live a life full of love. This symbolic jewel is the hero piece of the collection.
"Moenie had a penchant for very large gemstones. Jewelry often has an emotional meaning for me. You give them to people you love, including yourself, and of course you receive them from people who are dear to you. I like to wear the jewels all at the same time, to hold them close to me. Even though I'm afraid that sometimes I look like a Christmas tree (laughs). The secret is to combine fine, timeless pieces with true statement pieces, which is why I choose to have a mix of large and small jewelry in my collection", Lauren explains.
"My grandmother taught at nursing school. Anette and Rita were two pupils she became close friends with. When my grandfather passed away, my Moenie was suddenly all alone. Anette and Rita suggested that they come live with her and look after her son together. So my dad was brought up by 3x very strong women. They are my aunts by choice, not by blood", she continues.
The Lynn ring is named after Lauren's mother and symbolizes that nothing is impossible. The Morgane hoop is your all-time favorite partner in crime, exactly what Lauren's sister is to her.
ALL ABOUT FRAMILY.
The Ella hugger in the shape of a claw, set with 4x small diamonds, was named after Lauren's long-time girlfriend Ella. "I have known Ella since secondary school. She is someone I have shared my entire life with. From the first time I fell in love, to the first heartbreak and every laugh or tear in between. We have grown up together and know: no storm lasts forever", says Lauren.
The Eli Megs double ring features a phoenix wing, which is a signature symbol of this LAUVE collection. A show stopping double ring, finished with no less than 9x clear diamonds. "Eli Megs is a combination of Elisabeth, the second name of my grandmother on my mother's side, and Mégane, a close good friend. Elisabeth and Mégane have never known each other in real life, but their personal stories tell me that these two fantastically sweet women have a lot in common. They are both caring, always ready to help the other."
The Sofie hoops add a touch of sparkle to your outfit, they are almost as sparkly as Lauren’s best friend Sofie. The saying "Be whoever you want to be." describes her to the bone, as Sofie is a real boss lady, following her own path and 100% chasing her dreams.
The Louise chain necklace is a heavy, adjustable necklace and a go-to if you like personal jewelry. You can have the amulet engraved with the initials of a loved one, including your own. "Louise is one of my best friends from secondary school. She always gave me a helping hand when I had a bad day at school. With a little flower or a sweet note in my pencil case, she always managed to put a smile on my face. The personal amulet is a symbol of those secret messages", reveals Lauren.

The Lize ring is set with no less than 48x pavé diamonds. A powerful ring that perfectly matches the indestructible loving spirit of actress Lize Feryn. "Lize is an amazingly loving woman who lost her mother at a young age. Despite that setback, she has an incredibly positive attitude to life. She sees every day as a gift. Her motto is: "He who does good, meets good." I find that very inspiring", gushes Lauren.
Small enough to mix & match, big enough to make a statement. The Charlie earring goes for the golden mean. "Actress Charlotte Timmers is a very close friend. Everyone loves her, and rightly so! She carries a great playfulness in her. Hence the perfect choice for this fine mix and match earring."
The Janne necklace is a tribute to all inspiring women to love yourself and to be free. A message that Lauren got from actress and power woman Janne Desmet. "Janne once gave me a pendant with a pineapple. That was an inside joke from our time together during Studio Tarara (tv series). She gave me that pendant as a daily reminder to chase my dreams. I wanted to design a piece of jewelry for her that on one hand was unique, as a symbol for doing your own thing, but on the other, went well with everything. That way you always carry that person - and everything they stand for - close to you," Lauren goes on.
The Olga necklace is a double hoop with a diamond claw ornament. Ideal for a "Be yourself and don't apologize." look. "This necklace is dedicated to Olga Leyers. She never pretends to be anything but what she is. She grabs life with both hands and just jumps tight in."
