Do you offer solid gold jewelry?
Yes, we do – in grand homage to Antwerp's diamond heritage, we also present a capsule collection of 14- carat gold jewelry, labeled 'GLD' for the finer moments in life.
These jewels were introduced in the late fall of ‘19 in response to high demand of our customers and were expanded with new styles in '22. Inspired by vintage classics, this collection of modern-day heirloom pieces is defined by timeless styles to pass on through generations.
Why rhodium plating instead of white 18 carat gold?
Why rhodium plating instead of white 18 carat gold?
Rhodium is a silver-white metallic element that is highly reflective and resistant to corrosion. It is considered the rarest and most valuable precious metal in the world — well above gold or silver.
There are many upsides to rhodium-plated jewelry. It increases shine, luster, and durability and it will also make your jewelry less prone to tarnishing. Rhodium plating is nickel-free, making it hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin.
I am allergic to metals and silver, am I going to have a bad reaction?
I am allergic to metals and silver, am I going to have a bad reaction?
Our jewelry is made of the highest quality Sterling silver 925 and gilded with 18-carat gold or rhodium, which are both hypoallergenic. Our jewelry is free from nickel, lead, aluminum, and other harmful metals, making it suitable for sensitive skin.
We've had no customer complaints on this issue, so are confident to say it is safe. However, in the specific case of silver allergies, it is better to be safe than sorry. We suggest purchasing solid gold jewelry instead, as plating may fade over time and exposure to the silver base is not 100% inevitable
